The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many fans into the National Football League
That result may have opened things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals
Over in the National Football Conference the Seattle Seahawks and Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash next week, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the MVP award
Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?
Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City last week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address
The Buffalo squad had won seven in a row against Miami but were second best from the beginning as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's initial first down in the third quarter and first points in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had 10 days to prepare but it was still a significant failure laid by one of the league's best offenses
Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two touchdowns but rusher De'Von Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two scores
Containing the NFL's top running game was also key, with James Cook and teammates registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and slightly more than half their 161.5-yard average
Additionally there were the three crucial ball losses, and the pair from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone resulting in a nine minute possession produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown just later
It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the composed, controlled, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season
The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East
Spotlight - Patriots Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 squads in the NFL, all AFC sides, but are they the best?
One could find flaws in the Patriots, the Broncos and the Colts actually for dominating the weaker opponents, with only five of their total 24 victories achieved against teams with a positive record - and one of those was the Colts defeating the Denver
Denver beat the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their prime time success in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration
Their two defeats occurred in new head coach Vrabel's initial three games, with seven straight wins, similar to the Broncos, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was significant
Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he definitely deserves point for courage after taking some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his side to success
The defensive unit is solid and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth runner to break 22 miles per hour this season on his initial touchdown
While you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to finish with the best record due to their schedule - which features just one game against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against the Bills
Visiting Baltimore is challenging too, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Kansas City to face two times, the Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but encounter the identical challenge) and additionally the Green Bay on the fixture list
The Colts also play the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There's a considerable distance to travel but the opportunity is available for a surprise top seed in the AFC
Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Showdown
Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three eight and two teams are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who both scored 40 burgers to go to 7-2 ahead of the upcoming major meeting between the pair in LA
They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defenses allowing fewer than twenty points a contest
Each could realistically be undefeated as well - particularly the Los Angeles as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning field goal with the final play deflected and run back by the Philadelphia for a touchdown
Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in week one, before losing to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are truly two of the best sides in the NFL
The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the year so far
Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor
Taylor could be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - rushing for 244 rushing yards, registering three scores and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
