Passionate supporters of the actress are calling for that a individual who leaped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the well-known stage production Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two very different witches.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Academy Award nods, earning several for best costume and production design.
